I use also an 89C2051 (now 89C4051,
since the code grows up)
without any problems floating
at 5000V above earth !
The only problem was the power supply
transformer to be prepared for an
operating insolation voltage of 5000V.
I must change the transformer some times, but never the 89C2051.
