Unfortunatly, I have no choice but to swap the 8051 to a PIC. The PIC's are cheaper for us. We will probably use the PIC16c62, which is very similar to the 8051 core. The majority of the code will be directly translated over...opcode for opcode. The timing routines will be the only real change due to the PICs shorter machine cycle. Anyway, I sure appreciate the information! Phil |
