#1592 - 8515 problems
Will an 8515 start running just like an 8051? I was told that an 8051 will start running a program on powering up. But, in the 8515 manual there is stuff about "setup for the Reset and Interupt Vector adresses". The instructions for the setup is in $000-$00c.
I attempted to program the flash without a programer. After I put something in around $000-004, I no longer was able to get 1111 1111 out of other flash memory, nor was I able to get Signature bits. Could it be that there was something in the Flash important to Reseting via NOT(RESET) or power up? The input voltages on port B were about .5 v too high, an the 8515 may have not been powered while there was input. How probable is it that the chip was damaged.
