What are you using to program the P89v51 part? Via UART serial and Flashmagic?
What is the exact sequence for putting the P89v51 in to programming mode? Are you getting the part in to programming mode? Does it look like the part is programmed but does not execute? Have you read the technical notes on the NXP forum the show the differences between a P89v51 and P89C51? Have you search the www.8052.com forum for the P89C51 --> P89V51?
