This will be the last time I reply to you in this matter, if anyone have any doubts about who is realistic, read upward.
The point is simply that to sell chips (not to you, but to the customers that matter), the manufacturer has to make them as cheaply as possible. THUS: The user of the ISP feature is the one who pays for the adapter with the quadrillion-gate FPGA. It's part of the cost of doing business. which he will pay for if it is made as cheaply as possible whether that means it will be to the RE standard or not. If you have a millon thingies, you do not give a hoot what kind of ISP it is, whether it requires JATG, serial, or whatever. The points you make re "standard ISP" are only valid for those that do not buy enough chips for the amnufacturer to care. If a manufacturer 'cared' about the small time user, that would be nice for the short time that manufacturer would stay in business. I appreciate your 'idealism'but let reality hit you. Erik |
