... if we reserved the term "clock" for the system clock, whatever its relationship to the external timebase, and referred to what comes in on X1/X2 as "oscillator."
I don't know how this will impact nomenclature such as "one-clocker" and "four-clocker" and the like. I think it would be somewhat clearer. RE |
