#141463 - the \\\"new\\\" NXP site |
Maybe I will get kicked from this Forum for deliberately neglecting the rules and posting this in the main forum, but NXP is still one of the leading '51 producers, and I am really #$%^& off.
They just announced a "new" website. Horrible. Terrible. It's getting worse and worse. Clickey, blinkey, but the content is still the same. Bad. It now takes more time to get to where I want. Not to mention that with the goo'ol' dialup I have at home it takes a lot of data = time to download those fancy menus etc. The top of it, I browsed to some microcontrollers, and it offered me, as "news", NXP "new" website, verbatim said:
Latest user manuals
UM10198 1 (2720 Kb) UM10161 1 (1854 Kb) Latest application notes AN10302 4 (529 Kb) AN10583 1 (782 Kb) Yeah, very informative, thank you. The good news is, that they finally fixed the forum (after how many years, Erik?). How? They dropped their apparently in-house (read expensive) design and are now using the opensource phpBB... JW PS. In case somebody would search the P89V51RD2 folder, it's to be found under the somewhat surprising P80C51Rx2 group; and the folder appears under the menu which will still remain there occupying most of the space (at that bottom, which all webdesign book teach as the least often viewed by the users; of course, where else - you didn't really want a real information, did you?) and then don't forget to click at that fancy "detailed information", just for sure. PS2. Don't forget to read the disclaimer, for extra fun. PS3. Well, I never understood, why the hell does anybody need to explain, why is their new website good. Are they trying to sell the website or the webdesigner to us or what? |
