#1309 - Beginner Q: Tying logic gate outputs together |
Please note I'm an amatuer and I only know enough piece a system together.
I need to tie the outputs of 2 logic gates together to switch a transistor. I'm told you can't do this with (certain?) logic gates. I tried doing this with Circuitmaker software and it didn't work quite right. Can I use diodes on the outputs to make this work? Is there some way to do this? I can't simulate diodes and logic gates together in circuitmaker for some reason. I can send the schematic as a file if necessary. (If your interested - I'm trying to make a joystick allow 8 direction movement - or with the flip of a switch - only allow 4 direction movement by ignoring 2 simulataneous switches (angled movement as in top-right). |
