#122995 - variable kept in a register Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Every register (Rn) has an address in data memory. So a variable kept in a register only could still be viewed by the debugger if the OMF (or whatever contains the debug data) has the right information. I do not know if OMF can also tell a variable is in sfr space. So a variable kept in ACC, B or DPTR only might be impossible to view by variable name. Viewing is more difficult when a variable is temporarily held in registers. |
