Well, the datasheet had a similar basic RC circuit.
The famous case is Philips where the datsheet show RC reset and the manual states that it will not work for ISP. All manufacturers are "only" interested in the 10.000.000 piece order and to get those orders, the datasheet always show the cheap way whether it will work for everything or not. Another aspect is that, in many cases, the RC reset will work most of the time except for ISP and the 10.000.000 piece customet will not be using ISP because it is slow. Erik |
