#120516 - 8051 to PDA Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Sushil,
A good place to start might be to review the many serial programming tutorials on this site and then google for the "Terminal Program" that's appropriate for use with the PDA you are targeting. This would get you "testing" and "prototyping" quickly. I used a simple terminal program on a PALM M100 years ago to connect and administrate an 8051 based device. As the program was ANSI compliant and had File I/O built in, i didn't need to compose a program for the PALM as the 8051 (DS'420) controlled the presentation format and the PALM handled the stylus. Next step was to implement IRDA for this exchange but the field folks never pushed for it so it was not done. regards, p |
