#1187 - RE: TCP/IP chip |
Okay - I've just taken a brief look onto the Seiko-Web-Site.
unfortunately I've found the following: 1. Does the iChip S-7600A support Ethernet (802.3) applications? Ans: The iChip is optimized for dial-up PPP applications. Ethernet 802.3 requires a different set of protocols. 2. Does the iChip S-7600A require support ICs? Ans: Yes. The iChip S-7600A is designed to interface between a low cost microcontroller and some physical layer interface (e.g., external modem). Note that the socket memory required for TCP/IP is contained inside the S-7600A, so no external memory is needed. Bad - I've got also an Idea for something where I need a 10baseT ... AKKU |
