this post is slighty not-at-topic but just for interest. If your MCU supports direct LED connecting and selectable open collector mode as well (for example, SiLabs one) then you may use next schematic taken from http://www.disall.narod.ru/ In fact the max. number of LEDs vs used pins: Pins: 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Max.LEDS: 2 6 12 20 30 42 56 Regards, Oleg |
