How to detect call progress tones ... i am using mt8888 ic

So let's have a quick look at what the manufacturer's website has to say about that chip, shall we:
The MT8888 is a monolithic DTMF transceiver with call progress filter ... A call progress filter can be selected allowing a microprocessor to analyze call progress tones ...
Features
  • Central office quality DTMF transmitter/receiver
  • Low power consumption
  • High speed Intel micro interface
  • Adjustable guard time
  • Automatic tone burst mode
  • Call progress tone detection to -30 dBm

  • So a "Didn't Search First" vote seems perfectly valid - the answer to "How to detect call progress tones" will be in the device Datasheet!

So, go and read the Datasheet. Also read the Zarlink application notes. Also search here for the very many previous threads on this same subject - even this same chip.

Then, if you still have a specific question, come back and ask!
