Making an 8 bit core is easy these days. one EE Master could do it as a graduation project. Tools are another story. With everyone poping out new micros these days. Tool can be a problem. New tools are not as good as evolved tools. I have enough of my own bugs, I do not want to get stalled by tool bugs. Compiler retargets that do not make tight code. Or you have to do Interupts in ASM because it compiler push everything on the stack. |
