In some versions, changes to hypoterminal settings do not take effect until after you have disconnected & then re-connected (using the little telephone icons, or via the 'Call' menu) The settings shown in the status bar update immediately, but the actual values used by the port do not change until after the disconnected & re-connected! This is one of the really annoying & needlessly stupid features that gives Hypoterminal such a bad name! |
