#114318 - Not built-in motor control, but close Responding to: ???'s previous message |
FYI:
We are currently using the MC73110 intelligent motion controller chip from PMD to control a 3-phase BLDC motor. It has a UART interface to a Windows program for setting up all of the operating parameters, but the port to a Silabs microcontroller only took a couple of days. They provided all source code for communications. The development kit can control up to a 10A motor. Unfortunately, it is geared towards larger motors, so we are having to make a few board mods on the eval kit to scale a few inputs to te chip appropriately. The chip has built-in encoder and hall sensor interface, and provides 3 or 6-signal PWM out. |
