I agree with you that Basic or for that matter, any compiler is faster than assembler in terms of the time to deliver the goods. It speeds the development process. This is not necessarily true for the code it produces though. A quote I remember vaguely says "Programming using Assembler is akin to a Race Car Driver driving a race car; and programming using a compiler is akin to an ordinary car driver driving a race car" Jerson |
