#114198 - Tusb2136 questions |
Hi,
I have some question regarding the Texas Instruments tusb2136 controller. First, I would like to use the "boot, Load firmware from pc option" for production but TI does not recommend it. The 3 glitches seem to be. 1) In a Windows XP machine the user will notify 2 different USB happenings when the device is inserted. Two times ding dong etc. 2) The default string descriptor will be used. So the user will see the USB device as a Texas instruments device. 3) At hibernation or Standby the device may loss its downloaded firmware and when computer is operating normally again the computer will have the wrong driver loaded since the upload firmware driver needs to take place again. My question now is. 1) Isnt there a work around to prevent glitch 3? And if so even though TI does not recommend it, are we allowed to be stubborn and use it anyway? Second, I have a question about the eeprom address. In the documentation I haven't found information which address I should set with A0 en A1 en A2. But maybe I should read that part again so unless some1 knows that’s answer right away I will start looking for that answer myself. Cheers. |
