Ethernet is a specific type of physical connection and low-level protocols - as specified by IEEE 802.3 The Internet is a worldwide network of interconnected computers using Internet protocols - as specified by The Internet Engineering Task Force (http://www.ietf.org/) Many parts of The Internet do, of course, use Ethernet connections - but the terms are in no way interchangeable! |
