The ADB is described in detail in the Apple publication Macintosh Family Hardware Reference ISBN 0-201-19255-1 The Macs had a little PIC to do the grunt work it seems. It looks a little like the Dallas 1 wire(c) bus in that you have narrow pulses and wide pulses for '1's and '0's Anyway here's some specs bit cell time 100us +/- 30% '0' low time 65% of bit cell time +/- 5% '1' low time 35% of bit cell times +/- 5% attention low time 800us sync high time 65us stop bit low time 70us global reset low time 3ms service request low time 300uS stop bit to start bit time 200uS I can scan the relevant pages if you wish, I hope Apple doesn't mind as it is obsolete asfar as they're concerned. |
