The unfortunate intel notation...
Not the 7th bit, but the leading "letter" is what counts. If a string starts with letter, the compiler/assembler understands it as a variable name/symbol. That's why you need to add a leading zero for 0A0h-0FFh (you don't need to do it for 00h-9Fh JW |
