I got the tip here in this forum three months ago... Philips just started to make them (SC16IS7xx); I have obtained some samples since then and made this module yesterday, planning to play with it on a protoboard.
Seems to be a viable alternative (although maybe a little bit more expensive than an extra mcu). Jan Waclawek |
