#109336 - Depends on strength of voltage source

hello,i just wonder what happens if i have set a port as "low output" by software , then i have given that port "high input" by hardware as a mistake...does the port burn? or what happens?

Theoretically the weaker of both (or both!) dies. But in reality, often the according voltage regulator limits potential desastrous currents to a safe limit. Then, nothing bad happens.

Nevertheless, this case is a big no no! And if happened, you should exchange the involved components by fresh ones.
