If you have the resources (pins, cpu time) couldn't you just bitbang the spi? It's not as complex as i2c. Not even as complex as i2c with the engine built-in.
And how about uart mode 0? It's similar to one of the spi modes if you don't need to receive and transmit at the same time. |
