What others said here is absolutely true, the whole internal RAM at addresses 00-FF (in 8051: 00-7F, as it has only 128 bytes of RAM) can be accessed using indirect adressing (and can be used as stack).
It is unfortunate, but since the meaning of '51, '52 etc has been totally obfusciated, the above should read What others said here is absolutely true, the whole internal RAM at addresses 00-FF (in a traditional 8051: 00-7F, as it has only 128 bytes of RAM) can be accessed using indirect adressing (and can be used as stack) and another point: ALL RAM in the '51 family can be accessed indirectly, there is NO restriction there. The only restrictions relate to DIRECT access. Erik |
