I don't know how you decode your IR, ages ago I did make a circuit to decode Satellite Remote Control and I think they had 2 modes of operation a single press mode where you get a train of pulses with PPM (Pulse Position Modulation) and if you keep the button pressed the pulses change into a different pattern indicating a repeat function such as volume control.
If you can't make the IR decoder without waiting, why don't you make 2 microcontrollers, one for IR decoding and the other for control purposes? Mahmood |
