First of all, I do not appreciate reading everything in capital letters(it hurts my eyes). But since you are looking for help, I will help anyways...

From the datasheet I got, it looks like the flash memory is refered to as the Program Memory NOT Data Memory (i can be wrong, as I just scrolled) Yes I saw that it has those features(IAP and ISP). and there is also pure RAM.

In case of power failure, you will loose the data, so if I were you I would prefer an external ROM, for each and every logging will be put here. Because External access is simple as it can be achieved by the MOVX instruction. You do not need to go via the SFR stuff, unless there is something I do not know.

That will be my suggestion.
