Besides table lookup itself, linear interpolation for the table, and also piecewise parabolic approximations are considered there. They require only multiply, which is not that complicated even on '51. Certainly slower than the table lookup but giving possibly better precision.
Of course, the OP did not give requirements as per speed, precision, harmonic content etc. so we can discuss only generally here. Jan Waclawek |
