Thanks for the input, I agree about the resolution not being that huge a factor. I already have 12 bit resolution ready to go using the onboard D/A converter, but the customer requested we give the 16-bit PWM method a shot. I have considered using an 'if' statement at the beginning, checking if its below a certain time, to lower the resolution, and increase the increment to the PWM registers, but that would somewhat defeat the purpose of the resolution jump to begin with, and just lead me back to my original straight-up 12 bit onboard D/A converter setup : / . Kinda caught between a rock and a hard place. Any more suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated. |
