I2C could work with 485 drivers, you would need 2 pairs of lines.
And some circuit to bring the signals back together......... I do not see how, bith sides need be able to a) pull the bus down and - also see that state regardless of which device hold it. Philips do have some IIC bus buffers that increase the max allowd capacitance of the bus. Erik RE SPI, I do not see why it could not be done, in a single master environment, I would, however, advise against it. With "byte transfer" you immediately detect a lost bit, with SPI you have no such ability. |
