Digi-key has an online Canadian catalog that not everyone knows about. The problem is that there's a $6.50 shipping fee for orders less than $32. If you're unlucky, it can get its cookies mixed up and when you try to order it'll go to an American page.
I called up a local engineering company looking for supply information and they told me that it's impossible for an amateur to buy one chip over the counter in Toronto/Mississauga. (not including discount stuff and expensive stuff from Active. But they didn't know about Digi-key's Canadian option! Strangely enough the situation is quite different in Montreal.ever |
