LCDs require funny (AC) voltages to drive them however, so you will not be able to drive even a simple LCD direct from an 8052 logic signals without some intervening electronics, but you do not have to use a driver chip. Usually a few exclusive OR gates are all that is required. Google should find you some suitable circuits. Ian |
