#103678 - Learning Keil Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I said:
You will need something on which to practise what you learn - Keil will be fine for this, but it will not teach you how to program in 'C'. To learn to use the Keil tools (as opposed to learning 'C'), You need to start by reading the uVision Getting Started Guide, and working through the example projects in it. This will give you a proper introduction to the tools, how they work, and how to use them - rather than just jumping-in blindly at the deep end. (The uVision Getting Started Guide is available on the 'Books' tab in the 'Project' Window; The 'Books' window is also available via the 'Help' menu; failing all that, search for GS51.PDF in your Keil folder). If you can, get a copy of the Keil CD - it has a set of introductory videos on it that walk you through the tools: http://www.keil.com/demo/cdrom.htm Glossy sales brochures, with pretty pictures: http://www.keil.com/newsletters/uv2_v2.pdf http://www.ashling.com/pdf_datas...ilers2.pdf http://www.keil.com/newsletters/cx51_v7.pdf http://www.keil.com/newsletters/uv3.pdf |
