How to get the real resolution of a data acquisition card ?
I want to make a 16-bit data acquisition card with MAX195(whoes resolution is 16 bits), but I do not know how to identify the resolution of a DA card! It's extremely difficult to get real 16bit resolution when using a poor anti-aliasing filter at input of ADC, and designing a proper one is highly sophisticated. So, I would highly recommend you to use a conversion scheme which provides huge oversampling, like sigma/delta converters do. Kai |
