Obviously, Philips changed the entry point of the IAP firmware (and the ISP firmware, too! - check out) in newer devices in attempt to prevent runaway code from executing anything possibly harmful through entering IAP with "undefined" register content. The FF00-FF02 addresses now obviuosly contain instructions which reset the device.
See the LPC932A1 documentation, this is stated somewhere within the description of the changes against the older LPC932. I don't advocate this step of Philips, just explaining. Jan Waclawek |
