By the way: Why invest in an ICE when it is built into the controller?? :-)
nobody suggest that for SILabs chips (BTW none exist AFAIK). The problem is that what SILabs does is NOT "In Circuit Emulation" and calling it a "debugger" is way too non-descriptive. Thus naming the SILabs "debugger" is quite a quandry and maybe some of those attempts make you think a suggestion of purchasing an ICE has been made. If, however, what you mean is "why invest in an ICE for other chips when SILabs has the built-in functionality" I disagree. The choice of processor should not be based on whether a debug functionality is built in. Erik |
